Artifact: ASSURE Lesson Plan
Course: MEDT 6401
Semester: Spring 2009
Conceptual Framework Reflection: The last stage of the ASSURE lesson plan is the evaluation stage, which also includes revision. It stresses the importance of reflecting on what went well and what could be improved in your lesson. It can be said that no lesson plan, course design, or anything, for that matter, is a truly a perfect product. There is always the need to update, revise, and modify things as time passes.
Artifact: Instructional Website - Pythagorean Theorem
Course: MEDT 7467
Semester: Fall 2008
Conceptual Framework Reflection: When designing a website that will be used for instruction, reflection is an important aspect. Often website instructions and explanations, while very evident to the creator, are confusing to the user. It is important to get feedback from the end users to see what they liked and disliked, what was easy to follow, and how it might be better presented. A website is a great instructional tool that can be accessed from anywhere; it needs to be looked at periodically to ensure that students can utilize it.
Artifact: Program Evaluation Article Review 2
Course: MEDT 8480
Semester: Spring 2010
Conceptual Framework Reflection: When reviewing articles like the one in this assignment, it is always a good idea to be reflective. I find myself always thinking about how I might design a module or what would be a better way to evaluate a new tool. Reflection is such a big part of the learning process. When reviewing an article, you are, in a sense, reflecting on what you have read, the strengths and weaknesses of the research, pros and cons of a new application, etc.
