Your Resume

Your resume is often the first contact with an employer. Employers spend an average of fifteen to thirty seconds examining your resume, so it is important that you list your most important infomation on the top half of your resume. When you look at your resume, you should say, "Wow, I'm good!". The purpose of a resume is to get you an interview. Focus should be on the employer's needs and not yours. A resume can be sent via mail, fax, or e-mail. For a high school student a one page resume is all that is needed. Typeface should be Times-Roman or Arial.
