The Cover Letter
A cover letter should accompany your resume. Each cover
letter needs to be tailored for the job you are applying for. However,
it is okay if some parts of your cover letter are the same. You should
be very specific about the job you are applying for and your
qualifications. Offer concrete examples to demonstrate your skillls.
A cover letter should be addressed to the hiring
manager. Do not start the letter, Dear Hiring Manager", or "Dear Sir or
Madam." This demonstrates a lazy approach and shows you have not done
your homework to find out who the hiring manager is.
