Prior to beginning any activities in the curriculum web, students should be directed to read chapter 20 in the text, the Georgia Studies Book: Our State and the Nation. This chapter provides a good introduction of some of the key events of the Civil Rights Movement.

The navigation menu above can be viewed from most pages within this site; however, the activites can only be accessed from the home page. Each of the above icons have information for you to view in this site as well as many linked external sites; however, you will only need to complete a total of 5 assignments to be submitted electronically to your instructor by email. That assignment will be the last listed in each activity.
You should complete the activities in order, but it is not a requirement. Your grade will be scored by using the rubric and your participation as well. This concept map will provide you with a brief description of each activity.
