There are many events that transpired during the Civil Rights Movement that impact how life is experienced today for many individuals. Unfortunately, the Civil Rights Movement is often a period of history not explored as in depth as other major historical periods of time in school. The cause of this unknown, but it may be the result of it being so controversial in sensitivity to the different demographics of people impacted by it.
As a student, hopefully you will continue to explore the causes, the influential leaders, and organizations developed as a result of the Civil Rights Movement. It is important to embrace what transpired in the past to increase awareness and sensitivity for dealing with similar and controversial topics of today.
You will need to partner with 1-2 classmates to complete this assignment. Your group will need to revisit any one of the previously reviewed components of the Civil Rights Movement and collaboratively discuss the importance of it it. Using Glogster, create a an aesthetically appealing glog with your assigned group which includes your group's topic. The following are possible subjects that could be developed as a glog but you are not limited to to them: the desegregation of education, desegregation of public facilities, a specific influential leader or organization during the movement, the Albany Movement, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), and the NAACP.
