In class, we use the Place Value Chart to gain understanding of numerals for all of our units in fourth grade math. We use the place value chart to understand the value of a digit, solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and rounding problems. We also use the place value chart to help us understand decimals and fractions. The place value chart is an anchor chart in the classroom that we use all the way through our fourth grade year.
