Why was this website created?

This Website was created as part of a Graduate History program at the University of West Georgia.

Who are you and what qualifies you?

My name is Ryan White, and I am a graduate student that has a large courseload in East Asian Studies and American History. Military History and controversy within the military especially intrigue me.

Why did you choose Operation Ranch Hand

Operation Ranch Hand represents a cohesiveness between both Vietnames and American populations after both countries experienced a divisive political environment and war. Ranch Hand was a supertechnological, superexpensive, superdevastating, and superunethical operation that has left the Vietnam War deep in the memories of two countries. No matter the country, Veterans and Civilians from Vietnam and America agree that the use of Agent Orange has had genetic, multigenerational impacts on their populations that were exposed to Agent Orange.
