Global Grocery Project and Currency Calculator

Description
Students will be assigned groups of 3 or 4 students. Each member will be assigned the same 5 items from the global grocery list. Students will then work with their group and use the currency calculator to compare prices, convert prices, and average prices. Groups will turn in a spreadsheet of their totals and averages.

Global Grocery Project
First, you need to visit

1. Look at the US grocery list. Ask your teacher to assign your group a smaller list of 5 items from this list.
2. Go to the store and record the prices for the items you have been assigned.
3. Bring your list and prices back to class with you.
4. Work with your group to average the prices.
5. Write down the averages of your groups prices on the sheet provided by your teacher.
