What Is Scrum?

Scrum is an Agile software development framework.  The main roles in Scrum are the Scrum Master who maintains the processes and works similar to a project manager, the Product Owner who represents the stakeholders and the Team
which includes the developers.  Work in Scrum is structured in cycles call Sprints, iterations of work that are typically 2 - 4 weeks (or 15 to 30 days) in duration.  During each Sprint, teams pull from a lits of customer requirements (user stories) so that the features that are developed first are of the highest business value to the customer.  At the end of the Sprint, a potentially shippable product is delivered.
