Grouped computers in the computer lab (with 1:1 computer-to-student ratio available, if necessary). Mobile computer lab (class set of laptops) as backup.
School media specialist will be available if needed. Students should also be prepared beforehand with the needed skills to browse the Internet and utilize PowerPoint.
The low-tech version of this curriculum web will include printed copies of necessary information to complete the PowerPoint portion of the project. If technology failure persists, the enrichment portion of the curriculum web will be changed from a requirement to extra credit (as an assignment to be completed outside of class).
The teacher will be responsible for frequent feedback to students as they work. This step is critical to ensure a successful learning experience. The teacher will move throughout the lab from group to group offering suggestions and asking leading questions to help guide the students.
Though there is a dedicated page within this curriculum web for feedback, other teachers will be consulted prior to implementation to develop the best opportunity for the project to succeed.
