MEDT7467: Web Development for Instruction
Intermediate level course on design, development and formative evaluation of web-based instructional systems. Web page design strategies based on research on effective practice are emphasized. Students use software development tools to create and evaluate interactive lessons including strategies for assessing learning achievement.
Assignment 3.1 was a new experience for me. I have never worked with Dreamweaver and have learned much. I enjoyed working with the background and fonts, but I had some difficulty with the file-saving methods. The video helped with the development of the assignment. With more practice, I should be able to understand where and how I should save my files.
Assignment 3.2 was a new experience for me as was assignment 3.1. I had some trouble with the anchors, but I am pleased to have learned how to do them. I also learned the way to organize the material that will help me with further projects.
I enjoyed creating a webquest on the information I teach in social studies. I had some difficulty with the images but was able in the end to get them to stay. The prior lessons helped with the completion of the project.
Developing my curriculum plan was enjoyable, and I think the requirements of the assignment were good. I had difficulty with the formatting, but the page looks good and the anchors are very helpful. Until this course, I really did not even think about anchors, and I certainly did not know how to make them.
Watching the video helped, but I had much difficulty with the icons and would have difficulty putting them there again. I was extremely frazzled with the assignment. After it was completed, I was proud of it and am glad I was able to accomplish the assignment.
Assignment 3.6 The assignment was a good example for me to follow for my own page. I like the way emphasis can be drawn to particular paragraphs by mere capitalizations. The icons are fun but still very difficult. I even had some difficulty with positioning the images at the top on the banner. Even though it may not be perfect, I do think it is a good job.
This assignment was easier for me and of course more enjoyable. I enjoy working in Inspiration and adding the images was interesting. The only difficulty I had was with the direction I wanted the arrows to go because of differentiated groups.
I liked embedding the quiz for this assignment. I struggled with the images a little. I tried to follow the instructions but I having difficulties with the positioning of the images.
The assignment was easier for me than the rest have been. I liked choosing my resources that will benefit my students the most. The links were easy also. I also liked choosing and writing my instructions for differentiated groups for remediation and acceleration. The times I chose should be sufficient, but there may be some changes after all is finished.
The quiz was fairly easy to create on the page. The popups were fun and I enjoyed learning how to do them. I had never understood how you could create the popups and I think I will use them in future assignments.
Updating my curriculum plan with the assessment plan made me feel that my project will be used most effeciently. I had to think about the assessment process I would use that would meet the differentiated groups. This was not too difficult to post to the plan.

I really liked learning about "Back to the Homepage". I can see the need for color-coded arrows and how they would be most helpful for teachers.

I see the importance of the homepage to put my contents in the future. The inclusion of the concept map, curriculum web and WebQuest was an interesting beginning.
This assignment was more enjoyable than the rest to me. I enjoyed looking at the videos and images of each of the aspects of the 1920s. I would like to have had more time to set up the pages better, but I have learned much through the exercise.
The exercise helped think how the lesson will be evaluated and different means to improving the plan.
This was a good experience. Embedding quizzes is a wonderful interactive tool. It was rather easy to create and embed.
Reviewing chapter twelve helped me recall important parts of the lesson that I had not thought about when I first wrote the instructional plan.
Assignment 3.20
This is the reflection on my assignment.
Looking at the site makes me realize how much work went into it. I cannot say that I would use this in the classroom due to a time issue. I did use part of it and even shared with my coworkers.
