ABOUT THE CREATORS OF THIS SITE...
Beverly Lynn and Ashley Pittman are graduate students at the University of West Georgia. They created this site as a lesson for ABED 6107 Instructional Strategies of Technology, a class taught by Professor Sunil Hazari. This lesson is an Interactive Business Education Web Instruction Module that presents content to fill a 50-55 minute class period.
Beverly Lynn and Ashley Pittman chose to teach students about Business Communications for several reasons.

Hello! I am a full-time graduate student at the University of West Georgia majoring in Business Education. My undergraduate degree is in Business Management. I attended the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, MD in a program designed specifically for working adults. At that time online college degrees were not widely available. This program inspired me to fulfill my dream of being a teacher.
I worked at Hewlett-Packard Co (HP) for 22 years. During that time I learned and experienced various aspects of the business world. My goal is to use that experience and my education to teach business courses in either high schools or two-year colleges.
Currently I am attending school full time. I am a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, serving on the Troop and District Committees. As part of my volunteer activity with Boy Scouts, I am a Post Explorer Advisor to a work based classroom focusing on health careers. This program is a unique blend of work based education, health careers, and exploring for life activities. The goal is to help high school students determine specific health careers they want to pursue.
Hello and welcome to our site! I am a second semester graduate student here at the University of West Georgia majoring in Business Education. Originally, I graduated from UWG in 2006 with a BBA in Management, but decided to continue my education in teaching. Last year, I became a substitute teacher for Douglas County and I love it! I enjoy the classroom, the faculty, and the multitude of students I see each day.
I work on campus as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Business Education Department under the Marketing and Real Estate Department umbrella. I am a proud member of Delta Pi Epsilon, a graduate research honors society. In addition, I am a representative for the Business Education department and DPE member for the Richard's College of Business Student Leadership Council. My goal is to be a Business Education teacher for the Georgia Public School System. Thank you for visiting our site.
