Week 3 - Assignments

This week you have two assignments to complete. You have a choice betweenGroup assignment 3A or Individual assignment 3B but everyone must complete Pair assignment 3C. Don't forget to complete the group/pair cooperation questionnaire as well as the questionnaire about this week's work.

Group Assignment 3A
You work for a newspaper and are creating a frontpage layout covering the events of the Spanish American war. Use your knowledge of "yellow Journalsim" tactics to mimic the style of the time period. Follow the rubric to ensure full points.

Pair Assignment 3C - Everyone must complete!
You and your partner work for the engineering firm "Build it or Bust!" You need to persuade a panel of American and Panamanian diplomats that your firm should be hired to complete the building of the Panama Canal. You want to provide them with facts about the distance of the canal, how it will be built, and how to avoid certain problems assiciated with the construction. The format of your presentation may be in Microsoft PowerPoint, Glogster, or a posterboard (for posterboards, you will need to supply your own materials). Follow the rubric to ensure full points!
