Week 1 - Assignments Page

This week you have THREE projects from which to choose. One is an individual project and two are projects for pairs of students. Please read all instructions before choosing ONE to complete. If you choose one of the pairs projects, please choose your partner wisely!

Individual Assignment Choice 1
For this assignment, you will write a journal entry from the prospective of a Native American being displaced to a reservation. Follow the rubric to ensure that you have all of the details necessary for full points. Use information from the movies and from the following websites:

Think about what the Native Americans would have taken with them to their new "homes" or what they might leave behind. How would their lifestyle change? What might they need to learn to adjust to living in one place and no longer migrating with their food.
Submit your journal entry in this form. (I advise you to write or type your journal entry and then transcribe or copy/paste your answer into the form to save time.)

Pair Assignment Choice 2
You and a partner will design a new Historical Marker for the Battle of the Little Big Horn battle site. Be sure to follow the rubric to ensure that you have all of the details necessary for full points. Gather information for your historical marker from the movies and from the following websites:

You and your partner will need to decidethe format for your historical marker. You may design and submit it using Microsoft Publisher, Inspiration, Gliffy, or Glogster.

You and your partner will develop a PowerPoint presentation about immigration. Follow the rubric to ensure that you have all of the necessary details for full points. Gather your information from the videos and from the following websites:
