Activity 1.1

In this activity, you should create a PowerPoint presentation that is a "How-to" instructional guide to solving the following problem found here. Each step should be a new slide. When you are finished, you should save your file and then upload the PowerPoint to the class wikispace. Link it to the page, "Curriculum Web Activities" and add a brief description. Activity 1.2

Using the website Cool Math, research careers that use the elements of algebra that we have discussed throughout this M6A2 unit. Create a brochure or creative poster in Publisher that is an advertisement for this career. When you have completed this activity, you should save your file and upload the Publisher file to the class wikispace. Upload it to the page, "Curriculum Web Activities" and add a brief description.

Using the Jane Schaffer model of writing, create a story word problem that involves the concept of proportions or another element of the M6A2 standard. Type the story, using Word. Save the file, along with the solution to your problem, and upload it to the class wikispace. Link it to the page, "Curriculum Web Activities" and add a brief description.
