Google Reader
Google Reader is an interesting way to keep updated with the people or topics that you are interested in following. There are six main tabs including preferences, subscriptions, folders and tags, goodies, import/export and send to. In the preferences tab, users can set their language preference and how they wish to mark items as you scroll through them. It is very simple to upload subscriptions. Once you have used Google Reader fairly regularly, Google Reader will even recommend other subscriptions which you may be interested in following. Managing subscriptions is very easy in the Subscriptions tab. If you find that you often go back to a website to check for updates, you can subscribe to it in Google Reader. If you decide that you no longer wish to view a particular subscription, you can easily unsubscribe. If you have a site that you are interesting in following, and that site does not have a feed Google Reader will create a feed when content is updated. No longer does a person have to check for updates, Google Docs will do that for you. As you are reading your subscription, you can even use the note in Reader bookmark which allows you to highlight parts of the page and share your highlighted information with your followers on Reader. In folders and tags, the reader can organize their subscriptions. Users can even import their feeds from another source or export to another source. Google Reader is a way to subscribe to interesting feeds in an efficient manner.
