Google Blog
In my county all blog sites are blocked out of fear that children could access something inappropriate, or that they could post something without adult permission.
I would love to incorporate blogging into my classroom, but this is presently not a possibility. I tried to subsititute edu.glogster which is very similar to Google blog, but that has been blocked as well.
Blogging could be a very useful tool for classrooms if counties were not afraid of it. Teachers could use it as a site where students could ask questions, and other students could post responses. I wanted to use it as a place for students to post when they came across one of our Latin words in print. I felt that it would be a fun way to showcase seeing our words in print.
On a personal note, you can search for blogs based on your interests. I subscribe to some photography blogs to further my composition skills in photography.
People can search blogs based on specific subjects such as politics, U.S., world, business, technology, video games, science, entertainment, movies, television, and sports. There is even an option to search for blogs based on when they are posted, so blog enthusiasts can keep up with all the recently published blogs.
