Introduction

Congratulations! You have successfully completed the short story unit and are now about to venture into the Non Fiction! Before you take that leap in celebration of Halloween you are going to participate in a web quest that explores ghost stories of the good ole state of GEORGIA!

Task

Your job is to visit a number of sites and find out information about Ghost’s in Georgia! You must provide details about the location, the legend (the ghost story).

GPS Standards (Grade 9):

ELA9RL3 The student deepens understanding of literary works by relating them to contemporary context or historical background.

ELA9RL4 The student employs a variety of writing genres to demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of significant ideas in selected literary works. The student composes essays, narratives, poems, or technical documents.

Process
Log on to internet explorer and visit the links in the attachment below. You must locate at least five haunted locations in the state of Georgia only. Use the information gathered to create a haunted house travel brochure. You must include the following for each location:
1. Name of site and exact location
2. Hours of operation if open for business (If not open explain when and why it closed or is not available for visits.)
3. Describe the legend and what could possibly happen during a visit.
4. Locate pictures that you can use for at least two of your five locations.
5. Identify whether or not the story is fabricated or a true part of history
