This is the first half of the gospel... To explain
to people who they are, apart from God
WE ARE WICKED
Isaiah 53:6 “All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to His own way.”
Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all of our righteous nesses are as filthy rags.”

Psalms 51:5 “Behold, I was born in iniquity, and in my sin did my mother conceive me.”
Psalms 58:3 “The
wicked are enslaved from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be
born
speaking lies.”

know how to give good gifts.”
GOD HATES WICKEDNESS

Psalms 5:5 “The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.”
Psalms 5:6 “Thou shalt destroy them that speak falsehood, the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.”
Psalms 7:11 “God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.”
Psalms 11:5 “The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and Him that loveth violence His soul hateth.”
Proverbs 11:20 “They that are of a forward heart are an abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.”
Proverbs 15:9 “The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord: but he that loveth Him that followeth after righteousness.”
Proverbs 17:15 “He who justifies the wicked and He who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination unto the Lord.”
Micah 7:2 “The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is non upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.”
Isaiah 55:7 “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 55:9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Romans 3:10
“As
it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: “
3:11
“There
is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.”
3:12
“They
are all gone out of the way, they are together become
unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
Romans 3:23 “For all
have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Galatians 3:13 “Christ
hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a
curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one
that hangeth on a tree:”
Isaiah 53
1Who hath
believed our
report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2For he
shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root
out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall
see him,
there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He is
despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and
acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was
despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he
hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we
did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was
wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his
stripes we
are healed.
6All we like
sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to
his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7He was
oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his
mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before
her
shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8He was
taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare
his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for
the
transgression of my people was he stricken.
9And he made
his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his
death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his
mouth.
10Yet it
pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief:
when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his
seed, he
shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in
his hand.
11He shall
see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:
by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall
bear
their iniquities.
12Therefore
will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall
divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul
unto
death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin
of many,
and made intercession for the
transgressors.
