THE I WILL’S OF CHRIST

The “I Will” of Salvation

John 6:37 ”All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Mark2:15”And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.”

Mark 2:16 “And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?”

Mark 2:17 “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

The “I Will” of Cleansing

Luke 5:12 “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.”

God who spoke the world into being, will cleanse you with the words, I will: be thou clean.

Lord, I have a deceitful heart.  Cleanse me, O Lord; give me a new heart. O Lord, give me the power to overcome the flesh.

I will take away your leprosy and give you health in its stead

The “I Will” of Confession

Matthew 10:32 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”

Matthew 10:33 “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

Take up your cross daily

We have a cross to carry

The “I Will” of Service

Matthew 4:19 “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”

Peter and the day of Pentecost, 3000 men

All should serve

PULL IN THE NET

Don’t just mend your nets all day long, pull them in…

God uses the weak things of this world to confound the mighty

Promises to make us fishers of men

Sow with one hand, reap with the other

Farmers don’t sow year round

The right kind of BAIT

Preach Christ and Him Crucified

Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross to them that perish is foolishness, but unto us which are being saved, it is the power of God.”

The “I Will” of Comfort

John 14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

Matthew 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The “I Will” of Resurrection

John 6:40 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Our savior has power over death

Jairus’s daughter was raised from the dead

The widow’s son was raised from the dead

Lazarus of Bethany was raised from the dead…

NO DOUBt that Christ can do it.

If we had no hope in the resurrection, what would be our hope or joy, our peace in the end in the grave?

The “I Will” of Glory

John 17:24 “Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.”

Last prayer

Paul, these light afflictions, these stripes, stones they throw at me, the glory that is beyond excels them so much that I count them as nothing, nothing at all, so that I may win Christ.”

Rejoice
