PRAYER SCRIPTURES – MOST OF THEM!!!
Matthew
5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do
good to
them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use
you, and
persecute you;
1
“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be
seen by
them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2
Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before
you as
the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may
have
glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let
your left hand
know what your right hand is doing, 4 that
your
charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret
will
Himself reward you openly.[a]
5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like
the
hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the
corners
of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you,
they
have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray,
go into
your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is
in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will
reward you
openly.[b] 7 And
when you pray,
do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think
that they
will be heard for their many words.
8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your
Father knows
the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9
In
this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your
kingdom
come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in
heaven.
11 Give
us this day
our daily bread.
12 And
forgive us
our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And
do not lead
us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the
power and
the glory forever. Amen.[c]
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses,
your
heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But
if you do
not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses.
16 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like
the
hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that
they
may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have
their
reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint
your head and
wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear
to men to
be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place;
and
your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[d]
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on
earth,
where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where
neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and
steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there
your heart will be also.
22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If
therefore your
eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23
But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If
therefore
the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that
darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either
he will
hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one
and
despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about
your
life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body,
what you
will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than
clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air,
for they neither sow nor reap
nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not
of more
value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying
can add one
cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing?
Consider the
lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all
his glory was
not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God
so clothes
the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the
oven, will
He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What
shall we eat?’
or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32
For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father
knows
that you need all these things. 33 But seek
first the

39 He went a little farther and fell on His
face, and
prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from
Me;
nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
40 Then He came to the disciples and found
them
sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one
hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into
temptation. The spirit
indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 Again, a second time, He went away and
prayed,
saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless[e] I drink it, Your will be done.” 43 And He came and found them asleep again, for
their eyes
were heavy.
44 So He left them, went away again, and
prayed the
third time, saying the same words. 45 Then He
came to
His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and

Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into
the
hands of sinners. 46 Rise, let us be going.
See, My
betrayer is at hand.”

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

JOHN CHAPTER 17!!!
1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should[a] give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom
You have
given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and
they have
kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that
all things
which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I
have given
to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them,
and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have
believed that
You sent Me.
9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the
world but for
those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10
And
all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are
in the
world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those
whom You
have given Me,[b] that they may be one as We are.
12 While I was with them in the world,[c] I kept them in Your name. Those
whom You
gave Me I have kept;[d] and none of them is lost except
the son of
perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13
But
now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may
have My
joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given
them Your
word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world,
just as I
am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that
You should
take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil
one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I
am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your
truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me
into the world, I also have sent them into
the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify
Myself,
that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also
for those
who will[e] believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are
in Me,
and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may
believe that
You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave
Me I have
given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23
I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and
that the
world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have
loved Me.
24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You
gave Me may
be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have
given Me;
for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25
O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You;
and
these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I
have
declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love
with
which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Acts Chapter 8
14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem
heard
that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to
them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed
for them that they
might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet
He had
fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of
the Lord
Jesus. 17 Then they laid hands on them, and
they
received the Holy Spirit.
18 And when Simon saw that through the laying
on of the
apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on
whom I lay
hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
20 But Peter said to him, “Your money perish
with you,
because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!
21 You have neither part nor portion in this
matter, for your
heart is not right in the sight of God. 22
Repent
therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought
of your
heart may be forgiven you. 23 For I see that
you are
poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.”
24 Then Simon answered and said, “Pray to the
Lord for
me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.”
25 So when they had testified and preached the
word of
the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many
villages of
the Samaritans.

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound
still more
and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10
that you
may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and
without
offense till the day of Christ, 11 being
filled with the
fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory
and
praise of God.
Philippians
4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Colossians
1:3
We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying
always for you,
Colossians
1:9
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray
for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of
his will
in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Colossians
4:2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Colossians
4:3
Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door
of
utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

Thessalonians 1:2
We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
1 Thessalonians 5:16-28 (King James Version)
16Rejoice evermore.
17Pray without ceasing.
18In every thing give thanks: for this is the
will of
God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19Quench not the Spirit.
20Despise not prophesyings
21Prove all things; hold fast that which is
good
22Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23And the very God of peace sanctify you
wholly; and I
pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless
unto
the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
24Faithful is he that calleth you, who also
will do it.
25Brethren, pray for us.
26Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.
27I charge you by the Lord that this epistle
be read
unto all the holy brethren.
28The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with
you. Amen.
2
Thessalonians 1:11
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count
you
worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his
goodness, and
the work of faith with power:
2
Thessalonians 3:1
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may
have free
course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
1 Timothy 4:4-6 (King James Version)
4For every creature of God is good, and
nothing to be
refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5For it is sanctified by the word of God and
prayer.
6If
thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a
good
minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of
good
doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

continueth
in supplications and prayers night and day

and

Hebrews
13:18
Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all
things
willing to live honestly.
James 5:13-18
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him
pray. Is
anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is
anyone among
you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray
over
him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him
up. And
if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16
Confess your trespasses[e] to one another, and pray for one
another,
that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous
man avails
much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like
ours, and
he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the
land for
three years and six months. 18 And he prayed
again, and
the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
1
Peter 3:12
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open
unto
their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do
evil.

Peter 4:7
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch
unto prayer.
Jude
1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying
in the Holy Ghost,
Revelation
8:4
And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of
the saints,
ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
