Classroom Management Artifact
During my Block II placement at Peachtree City Elementary, my supervising teacher Mrs. Ward handled classroom management in an organized way. She used this choice card sheet as a way to have daily contact with the parents. The choice card was used in conjunction with the traffic light that she had on the back of the classroom door. At the beginning of the day every students starts off with their clip on green and as there are behavior problems that continue after being addressed the student's clip will be moved to yellow and a note will be sent home. If the behavior problem continues after moving to yellow the student's clip will them be moved to red and they will be sent to the office and the parents will receive a phone call. At the end of the day Mrs. Ward or Mrs. Evans, the paraprofessional, will fill out the choice card according to the color light that the student's clip is on. They will also write any necessary comments home to the parents.
