Introduction
You have been hired as a National Geographic reporter. National Geographic is planning a “destructive forces” special article and they want you to help! Your first assignment is to choose a destructive force to collect information about it and pictures of the destruction it causes.

Task
You will create a VoiceThread by uploading the images you find on www.voicethread.com and make comments about the information you found about your destructive force. Choose 1 destructive force from the following list:

Volcano
Earthquake
Tornado
Flood
Hurricane
Tsunami
Flood
Avalanche

Process
Before you begin, explore each destructive force by logging into www.brainpop.com (login: calhounelementary password: jackets) and watching this video http://www.brainpop.com/science/earthsystem/naturaldisasters/preview.weml  on natural disasters to get an overview on each destructive force. Use this information to choose the force you would like to research. After you decide on your topic, record finding you plan to use when commenting on your VoiceThread.
Comments can include but are not limited to: places where the destructive force is most common, safety precautions people who live near “hot zones” can take, restoration projects, and well-known destructive events through history.
Next search the following sites to gather information and images of destructive forces:
