My name is Daniel T. Sharp I'm 25 years old now. When I turned 18 I was diagnose with AVMs of the intestinal track. I know this is not the same as the brain, but I have been told by doctors that this is a rare condition. Unfortunately I cannot find much research on this.
To this day I still under go endoscopies, blood transfusions, and cauterization of the AVMs in my intestines. I also have developed other health problems spawning from this. One is a severe iron deficiency anemia, in which iron pills will not help me regain the iron. It seems like the only way I rebuild iron is by receiving blood transfusions.
My doctors are at a lose with my condition. I've seen a lot of doctors for this over the years. Most have gave up on me, or would not know what to do. Presently I'm due for another blood transfusion, and a endoscopy.
I fear that they will never be able to cure me and or guide me into the right direction for research on this. If any one can help me as far as where I can do research on this ( AVMs of the intestinal tract ) it would be most appreciated. Thank you for your time.
