Christmas Day 2004
3 March 2005
Christmas Day 2004 in the emergency room would turn out to be day that we'll never forget. My 61 year old mom, Cee Cee Brown, went to the ER for complaints of an ear infection. After the physicians prescribed antibiotics that turned out not to work, she returned to her primary physician. He gave her another set of meds. She took the entire regimen as prescribed. It still didn't clear. She was then ordered to undergo an Cat Scan, MRI, and then an MRA. These results didn't shed any light on the ear problem, but grimly showed an aneurysm located behind her left eye.
For the next four hours, they attempted every possible solution to break them up. They administered the maximum dosage of Plavix and aspirin. Well after much prayer and support, the clots resolved. But, she began to hemorrhage from the medication. Her blood would not clot. After four more hours, they got her stabilized.
