Sherri

My Sister Sherri

Sherri Holt, my Sister, died on 20 January 1997 at the age of 47 as the result of a sudden cerebral aneurysm. Her death was unexpected and a great shock to all of her family and friends. Except for a severe headache that day no unusual symptoms warned anyone what to expect.

Routine for that Sunday was a quiet dinner out with her husband and long time friends. While still at the house she complained of sudden nausea. She suddenly and unexpectedly collapsed. The paramedics were called and arrived within minutes. Rushed to the hospital a short distance away there was nothing that could be done.

It's been six years now and we still miss her greatly. We are proud of Sherri and what a good wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and teacher she was. To me the world will never be as bright with her passing.

That year began with a trauma in January but ended with a blessing by the birth of my second son in December. Sometime when I am riding alone in my car I sense her presence. I believe we will see her again one day, but until then she lives in the hearts of all those who knew her and loved her.

God Bless you Sherri, we still remember and always will.
