My Beloved Son Chris John Babin

30 April 2004

On 3/27/99 my son was at a bar with a friend. There was a group of family there. Two girls from this group sang a song on the karoake. A patron complemented them on their singing. At which these 2 girls took it the wrong way. These girls family member (3 brothers and father) jumped this patron. No one helped him so my son jumped in and pulled them off the patron. Someone came in and said the police is on their way, everyone started to leave.

Moments later a patron came back into the bar and said there is a male on the sidewalk someone pulled him off the sidewalk so he wont be runned over by a car. He was brought to the hospital and later died.

This family members admitted to beating him and said they did not mean to kill him. I was informed he suffer massive trauma and seizures. When the autopsy was done I was then informed his cause of death is aneurysm and second cause of death is massive subarachnoid hemmorhage.

That is why I dont understand this condition. I found out that a CT Scan was done on my son couple months before his death and he did not have Aneurysm so I know he did not have this since childhood as claimed by the medical examiner.

It has been 5 yrs and no one from this group was charged with anything. I can not afford an attorney so that is their advantage. I have asked for help for my son case and if they did a full investigation I could start the healing process.

My wife died 20 months ago and she was so angry and wanted justice. So I pray that one day I get a miracle and someone helps me. I want to let everyone know that I pray for all of you to recover and give you strength. Thank you for listening and I thank this site for letting me tell my story.

Memorial by Esther Babin Villagomez: 8 May 2006

In loving memory of my brother
CHRIS JOHN BABIN

GOD'S GARDEN
God looked around his garden,
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
Gods garden must be beautiful for he only takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew that you were in pain,
he knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace Be Thine"
It broke our hearts to loose you, but you didnt go alone for part
of us went with you the day God called you home.

This is the poem we put on his funeral announcement. I keep this poem because my brother was taken from us and our family will not be the same.
